Family is important!

Thanksgiving as come and gone already and now Christmas is upon us. As I right this, there is snow coming down and blanketing the ground. Whenever it snows and the ground is covered in a fresh white blanket the verse in Isaih comes to mind. " Is1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."

During the Holidays, it seems that everyone gets back to remembering that families are important. Why is that? We should never take for granted our family, close & extended.
It was a fairly good Thanksgiving for both Herman's family and Jessica's family. We went up to Michigan to be with Herman's family. And the children had a good time with all the cousins. There were 14 children under the age of 14 and only 8 adults!!!! And that was all the family, 2 of Herman's siblings couldn't make it!
Needless to say there was not lacking any excitement! Even Roseanna participated in making a scene. The day of Thanksgiving, she had found a small bracelet that one of the older cousins had made. It had some small round beads and 4 square beads. Well it broke and she and Barbara were playing a game with me... which hand had a bead in it. So 30-40 minutes had passed and Rosie kept saying there was a "burger" up her nose. Well Herman hear her tell Grandma that there was a domino up her nose!!! [ right before we sat down to eat] Yeap she somehow put a square bead up her nose!!! Boy o boy was that an ordeal. Grandma finally got it out with a paperclip! We were & are so thankful that nothing was damaged and hope she learned her lesson.

Jessica missed out going to Texas with her family. Her brother graduated from the Air force boot camp!! The rest of the family was there and had a good time visiting "little brother". David will be home for Christmas, and Jessica will be able to see him then!!!

This year has held some pleasant and not pleasant changes to our families! But the Lord is good no matter what as happened and will continue to lead our family. We must remember to always pray for our familes far and near. Satan is out to destroy our lives and those that we love. Herman's family is going through a very tough time as Satan is working overtime. So if you would just send up a prayer for his family, we would grately appriciate it!

Remember to put Christ in CHRISTmas!!
